Day 1: Italy – Anchorage The long-awaited day has arrived! Meeting at the hotel in Anchorage with the tour leaders.
Day 2: Anchorage – Copper River (390 km) Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up the rental bikes and depart for the first stage of the tour toward the Copper River crossroads. Along the way, we will visit the Matanuska Glacier; its 43 km glacial tongue makes it the largest glacier in Alaska accessible by car. Arrival at Copper Mine, where "gold fever" still leaves its traces. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Copper River – McCarthy – Copper River (190 km) Breakfast on your own. Surrounded by untouched nature, we ride along an easy dirt road to McCarthy, a small town of miners and prospectors that lets us savor the true wild Alaska. Return to Copper River in the afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 4: Copper River – Valdez (220 km) Crossing the Elias National Park and Preserve (the largest National Park in the U.S.) and Thompson Pass—one of the most scenic passes in the world—we arrive in Valdez, one of Alaska's most important ports.
Day 5: Rest Day in Valdez A day off that allows us to take a mini-cruise (included in the price) among the ice of the Columbia Glacier in the Prince William Sound. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Valdez – Paxson (305 km) Breakfast at the hotel. Riding back along US 4, we head north into the heart of the Alaska Range. We will take the Denali Hwy for about 40 km to the shores of Tangle Lake. Return to Paxson for the night.
Day 7: Paxson – Alaska Range – Fairbanks (280 km) Breakfast on your own. Today we reach the "Last Frontier" before the Great North. We travel along the Richardson Highway, Alaska's oldest Scenic Road, to Fairbanks. Located at the edge of the Arctic Circle, this is another historic city born from the gold rush. Overnight stay in Fairbanks.
Day 8: Rest Day in Fairbanks Breakfast at the hotel. Free day at your disposal. Options include visiting the Museum of the North at the University of Fairbanks, exploring Gold Dredge #9 (gold rush history explained aboard a steam train), or riding a section of the legendary Dalton Highway. Overnight stay in Fairbanks.
Day 9: Fairbanks – Denali National Park (430 km) Breakfast at the hotel. The route proceeds along the scenic Parks Highway with various photo stops. We arrive in the afternoon at the McKinley Chalet Resort, right at the edge of Denali National Park. Here you can catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley) and spot brown bears along the banks of the Susitna River. Overnight stay.
Day 10: Denali National Park Breakfast on your own. A full day dedicated to visiting Alaska’s greatest park. We will have the chance to admire brown bears, grizzlies, wolves, and the famous Bald Eagle, the symbol of the USA. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 11: Denali – Seward (380 km) Breakfast on your own. We continue south along the Parks Highway through Talkeetna. We stay "on the road" along one of the world's most important routes, the historic US 1, heading south toward Seward and Kenai Fjords National Park. Along the picturesque Turnagain Arm, keep an eye out for Dall sheep on the cliffs, moose, bears, eagles, or... whales in the sea. Overnight stay in Seward.
Day 12: Seward – Homer (275 km) Breakfast on your own. For our penultimate stage, we push to the southernmost point of the nation reachable by road: Homer, nicknamed "The End of the Road." From here, we can enjoy the spectacle of the Kenai Peninsula with its endless peaks and glaciers. Overnight stay.
Day 13: Homer – Anchorage (355 km) Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to return to Anchorage, the final stop of our wilderness road trip. Arrival and drop-off of the motorcycles in the afternoon. Return to the hotel and free time for the rest of the day. Overnight stay.
Day 14: Anchorage – Italy Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and departure for Italy.
