Day 1: Palmanova > Kranjska Gora
Morning meeting near Palmanova (UD). We will head to Slovenia, taking the beautiful state road that runs along the Idria River to Tolmin, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, the beautiful road will take us towards the Vršič Pass, a military road built in 1915 by the Russians. We will then arrive in Kranjska Gora, where we will spend the night.
Day 2: Kranjska Gora > Graz
Breakfast at the hotel. Our first stop is Lake Bled, a charming town nestled on the shores of the lake of the same name. We will then head towards the Slovenian Prealps, which will take us to Styria in Austria. We will stop for lunch near Traundorf and then reach Graz in the late afternoon, where we will spend the night.
Romantic courtyards, charming riverbanks, elegant palaces. The castle on the hill and, in contrast, some of the most avant-garde buildings in Europe. In the second largest city in Austria, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Art Nouveau harmoniously coexist in a historic center that has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. But that's not all. In 2003, the capital of Styria, along the banks of the Mur River, was the European Capital of Culture.
Day 3: Graz > Bratislava
Breakfast at the hotel. Today's destination is Slovakia, which we will reach by crossing Styria, Lower Austria and Burgenland until we reach the Danube River, which crosses the city of Bratislava, where we will spend the night.
We will stop for coffee in the charming town of Hartberg and then head towards Wiesen, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we will stop for coffee/a visit in Bruck an der Leitha and then head towards Bratislava. The Danube riverbank with a breathtaking view of the entire city and castle, narrow streets full of small cafes with delicious snacks or hidden alleys that tell the story.
Day 4: Bratislava > Krakow
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer stage to cross all of Slovakia to the north to reach Krakow in Poland. Enchanting roads that wind through hills, forests and characteristic villages. Stop for a visit to Bojnice Castle (Immersed in the picturesque town of Bojnice, Slovakia, stands the enchanting Bojnice Castle. This medieval fortress, built in the 12th century, is a true gem that attracts visitors from all over the world. With its rich history and extraordinary architecture, it is no wonder that Bojnice Castle is one of the most visited castles in Slovakia.) and then lunch in the city. In the afternoon we will cross the Veľká Fatra National Park which will take us to the border with Poland. In the evening we will arrive in Krakow where we will spend the night.
Day 5: Visits to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines - Departure at 8:00 AM
Breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to memory. Visit to Auschwitz and Birkenau (2h 30'). In the afternoon, visit the beautiful Wieliczka Salt Mines and return to the hotel in Krakow.
Day 6: Krakow > Olomouc
Breakfast at the hotel. We will reach the Czech Republic by crossing the lake district. In the afternoon we will make a stop to visit the Prasvice Bunker and then reach the city of Olomouc, known as the little Prague, where we will spend the night.
One of the pearls of the Kingdom of Bohemia is undoubtedly Olomouc. A beautiful city with a rich tradition and strategic position, which has led it for many centuries to be the natural capital of Moravia. A true reserve of historical monuments, second only to Prague. Just think of the Holy Trinity Column, included in the list of UNESCO protected heritage sites.
Day 7: Olomouc > Prague
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will remain in the Czech Republic, crossing the Žďárské vrchy and Železné hory protected landscape areas. Kilometers of country roads immersed in the woods. Stop for lunch near Sněžné and in the afternoon we will stop in the enchanting Zleby where we will visit the Castle (Vincent Karel Auersperg, a romantic and rather eccentric nobleman fascinated by the tradition of old England, transformed his castle in the 1800s into a chivalrous residence as if it had materialized from W. Scott's novel. Two guided tour routes present visitors not only the luxury rooms, the theater, the panoramic tower and the armory that displays one of the largest collections of weapons in Europe, including a knight on horseback fully armed, but also an interesting look into the well-equipped kitchen, the ingenious toilets or underground labyrinths of the old castle cellars.) We will reach Prague in the late afternoon where we will spend the night.
Day 8: Free day for visiting Prague
Day 9: Prague > Nuremberg
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will head towards Germany, entering the Křivoklátsko Protected Area. Stop for a visit/lunch in Pilsen, the famous city of beer (Pilsen is located in Western Bohemia, about 90 kilometers southwest of Prague, in a valley surrounded by four rivers. The city is immersed in an area rich in centuries-old forests, national parks and rolling hills, dotted with enchanting monasteries and sumptuous castles. The more than 700 years of history of Plzen are reflected in the magnificent buildings of its historic center, around which, in recent years, a modern metropolis has developed, which is able to offer visitors numerous attractions of all kinds.) We will make an exception to the "no highway" rule, in fact, entering Germany and only to get to the hotel a little earlier, we will use it until Nuremberg, where we will spend the night.
Day 10: Nuremberg > Munich
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the Nazi Documentation Center. A well-made museum with video/photo testimonies of the Nazi period. We will then reach Neuburg and dei Donau for a visit/lunch on the banks of the Danube.
In the afternoon we will arrive in Munich where we will spend the night.
Day 11: Munich > Bolzano
Breakfast at the hotel. We return to Italy passing through Garmish and we will take the beautiful Timmelsjoch (Rombo) pass where we will stop for lunch, the last stage of our tour before reaching Bolzano where we will spend the night.
Day 12: End of Tour
Breakfast at the hotel and end of services.
