Day 2 (220 km)
On the first day of the tour, starting from the beautiful Girfalco in Fermo, in front of the 13th-century facade of the Cathedral, we will begin our journey heading towards the Sibillini Mountains, riding on smooth roads without significant technical difficulties, gradually gaining altitude, surrounded by views of the Marche countryside, its villages, and its hills. The first stop will be in Servigliano, a village built in the late 18th century from a unified project for the entire town, almost like an ideal city. We will touch the medieval village of Sarnano for a quick coffee break, with its ancient walls and the backdrop of the mountain nature. Arriving at the foot of the imposing Monte Vettore, the highest peak of the entire Sibillini chain, we will relax enjoying excellent traditional dishes at "La Cittadella dei Sibillini" in Montemonaco, with a breathtaking view. The departure will see us engaged in moving back towards the sea on white roads always open to the landscapes, starting, as the kilometers pass, to see the coast. The arrival of the stage will be in the afternoon in Fermo, in the beautiful Piazza del Popolo, where we can enjoy an aperitif and visit the imposing Roman purification pools or the 18th-century Municipal Theater. In a few kilometers, we will then arrive at the hotel for a fish dinner in a beach chalet and the briefing for the presentation of the third day.
- 8:30 AM: Departure of the first stage from Fermo
- 1:00 PM: Lunch stop in Montemonaco
- 5:30 PM: End of the first stage in Fermo
- 6:30 PM: Guided tour of the Roman purification pools
- 8:30 PM: Briefing for the presentation of the second day's stage and dinner
Day 3 (180 km)
The departure of the second day of travel will take place from the spectacular terrace of the high seaside village of Torre di Palme, heading southwest, to pass from the Fermo countryside to the Ascoli hills, in an area rich in vineyards and fruit and vegetable crops that draw beautiful geometries on the fields as far as the eye can see. The passage on Monte Ascensione, with the view that unexpectedly opens onto a sea of badlands that slope towards the Tronto river valley, indicates that we are halfway through our tour; from there, we will begin the approach towards the end of the stage, where a typical lunch will await us at a farmhouse in the Fermo area, concluding these three days in the Marche region.
- 8:30 AM: Departure of the second stage from Torre di Palme
- 1:30 PM: Arrival of the tour and final lunch at a farmhouse in the Fermo hills
