Silk Road on motorbike

from 25 July to 24 August

“For centuries, from the gradual abandonment of the Silk Road onwards, the line from the Kara Kum Turkmen desert to the Takla Makan desert in Chinese Turkestan has remained one of the least crossed places on the planet. Until at the beginning of the twentieth century, almost suddenly, some of the best – and most visionary – scholars of ancient things decided, all together, to set out to discover the civilizations that were said buried, and intact, under the sand.”
